All I can think about now is how I'm going to market and pull this off? I mean, I finished the book, revised it and currently others are revising it. But how can I make this something I can be proud of? After brainstorming and watching videos, reading blogs and more, this is a list of things I came up with.

Step 1: Networking and Introducing your book.

Introducing your writing to new people and as many people as you can before your book comes out is essential. In some cases, even when people don't buy your book, you can still get them to add revenue to your market. In no way shape or form do you have to do all of these, but most if not all of these are free with a little creativity and knowing the right people. Here are some ways to introduce your book and gain the public's eye:

Constant Social Media~ This helps establish you and your book, but it only works best if you start it BEFORE the launch of the book. Inform people about your book and create a social media presence to help sell your works. Total: $0

Contact The Author~ By leaving a website link, email or alternate way to contact the author, you will be able to talk to your customers directly, and that can establish a positive relationship and create return buyers. I can also give you the opportunity to upsell other novels or merchandise! Total: $0

Promote With Facts~ The facts and research you poured into your book can be used as advertising for selling the idea of your book. All you have to do is use that research with multiple references to your books in your blogs, videos, magazine posts, etc. Total: $0

Selective Writing Group~ Joining in a particular writing group and helping other writers of similar genre or style, will mean they are likely to help you out too! Put a link or QR in your book to their website or novel, and it's highly likely they will do the same for you! Total: $0

Videos~ Skits or a movie styled trailer based on the events of your book cause a great stur and will attract a lot of traffic to your book and/or website. You and your friends can reenact a scene and use it for some advertising or on your site/youtube! Total: $0 with friends, $5 with Fiverr! (Click here for 20% of your purchase: http://www.fiverr.com/s2/f035309430 that means it will only be $4 for your skit or book trailer!)

Collaborate and Partner Up~ If you reach out to writers of similar style and ask for a collaboration, it means picking up all of their readers too. If you write a book made of short stories from multiple other authors, the book will sell well and give all contributors new readers. Usually, the profits are split equally among the writers, which possible means less pay however if you think of it as advertising for new readers, its an advertising medium that pays YOU! Total:$0 and new friends!

Website and Blog~ This is one I naturally chose to commit to, it's a great way to show everything about your books and merchandise. Both a blog and a website will get attention to your book as well, but it works best if it's started before the release of the book. Guest blogs or a collab blog is a great way to earn a few more readers and attention, for both parties. Total: $0

Popular Intrest~ writing books about popular interest can cause your book to get attention, it helps to know what kind of book is selling by looking at the top sellers while brainstorming ideas for your novel. (Bonus: This will also bring you more attention through word of mouth.) Total: $0

Audio Book or Audio Chapters~ Having an audiobook will boost the popularity of the original book and will make your book available for people whom are unable or dislike to read visually. This also makes money as audiobooks can be the same price as an ebook. Audio chapters do the same as above but there can be a couple free chapters that can also be used for promotion in videos, and posted onto radio or podcasts to gain attention to the book. It's too easy to pay for someone to create an Audiobook for you, but it is a cost you can do without. Total: $0 for you, $5 - $40 for paid service

Free Advertising~ Many sites and newsletters feature authors weekly, and a few are free! A quick google search will help you bring more attention to your book and get more customers headed your way! It's also possible to create free advertisements on writer's blogs and platforms, they will give you a shout out or promote your book for free if you do something similar for them in return! Total: $0

Quote~ Quote a lot from your book on social media and of course link where people can find the book to bring secure and fast interest and attention to your book. One of the best ways to do this is to take a free stock photo and put a suitable quote over it. You can also do this with scenes, or paragraphs, just place texts from your book on pictures and post them all over the web. Total:$0

Optimize your search results~ No one will buy your book if they can't find it in their first few pages of google search, Heres how:

Reviews~Reviewing all the books you can find, everywhere, and ending your review with your name, book title, link to buy it, and/or website link. This will bring people to your website and allow them to become familiar with your name, buy or check out your book AND it will increase your results in searches, making it easier for people to find you and your book.

Add a link to your website and book EVERYWHERE~ Whether you are writing a youtube comment or writing in a guestbook, add links to your book and site EVERYWHERE. These places are like small adverts that cost nothing and help you get recognition as an author.

Write a really long Author Bio~ The more words, the better, the longer it is, the more words will show up in customers search results, and the more people are directed to your book or website. Total: $0

Overall Total: FREE! (Unless you pay for services). All of this can rack you hundreds of thousands of readers, and they are all free! Just a little elbow grease and it looks like the book pays for itself! But why stop there? Read part two for some more awesome tips!
